One and counting

Well, Its been awhile since my last post. Honestly I have been so busy and engrossed in the Twilight Saga that I haven't been doing much of anything but read these past couple of weeks. What a great group of books if you like to read!

Since the last post we have come home from San Deigo and celebrated Maddie's 1st birthday. The celebration was very small. She started the day off with her doctors appointment. She weighed in at 21 lbs 15 oz, and is 30 inches long. She did have another ear infection though, and is currently on antibotics to treat it. She will be having tubes put in May 27.

Later that day my mom was here and we went to Outback to eat dinner with Mike, and then headed home to eat cupcakes with the neighbors. All and all it was pretty low key.

Congratulations to Mike who just helped spear headed a fundraiser to raise $31000 for Friadriech's Ataxia. We were in Raleigh this past weekend with Outbackers from all over the state who came to participate in a 3k walk, which got rained out. But Mike the planner that he is, had a back up plan and all 250+ of us got to go bowling. It was a fun time! Mikes goal is to have NC and SC Outbacks to raise $500000 by November.

Swine Flu Paranoia

Oh My Gosh, Swine Flu Paranoia has set in! Hello from San Diego, where they have confirmed 4 cases so far...

Anyway all is well here. The weather is cool, with a temperature of about 62 degrees (cool moist air from off the Pacific.) Sunday was travel day, that ended with an Outback event of a boat ride around the Marina with lots of hourderves and drinks, followed by a late night run to downtown for hamburgers.

Today (Monday) Mike had meetings all day so I went downtown to the shopping plaza and a walk on the boardwalk around the marina... trying to keep my mind off Maddie.

Maddie is doing great with our friends the Fells. I bet she doesn't miss us nearly as much as we miss her.

Congratulations to Sarah Butt! Mike has given her beautiful ring today. She will be Sarah Miller before we know it. (Sept 5, 2009)

Well I will update blog when we get home. We are heading out on the trolley system tomorrow to sight see and take some pics.

Here are some pictures of Maddie that I thought were great in my missing her moments today. Man she is my little angel!!!

25 days away

Well Maddie is almost a year old, 25 days away. We haven't talked about a birthday party yet, but will let every know when we decided. It definitly won't be on her birthday, though due to some business obligations. We enjoyed spending time in Pleasant Garden this weekend for my Dad's 60th birthday. Dad shared some great spring pictures, enjoy!

No Time

I won't even begin to back track and fill you in on everything that has happened since my last blog. I think thats why I haven't blogged since the last time, the idea of backtracking is too daunting. I am heading to Grama Mary's tomorrow for my dad's birthday, and my mom has been visiting since Easter Break so I will post some updated photos when I get home.

Update

Life has been moving right along rather quickly, these days. Maddie is standing all the time and even taking a few assisted steps. She has 5 teeth now, and eats everything.

Since my mom's visit, Harmony and Grandpa Kelly have come to visit. We enjoyed a great Sunday of family time and delicious Korean food.

This past weekend Aunt Sarah came for a visit. Our visit was cut terribly short on Friday when we got the news that Grandpa Kelly had suffered an anurism. Has we hoped for the best, he slipped away from us on Sunday March 8th. He was survived by Suk Sines and his 2 children and 5 step children.

Stay tuned for more as the world turns...

What a wonderful world it will be!
